info
Keishokan Sazanamitei ryokan is located in beautiful coastal Tomonoura, in the Seto Inland Sea National Park, on a historic site dating back to the Manyō and Edo period. The hotel offers an "Historic Tour" which we recommend. The ryokan consists of a five-storey traditional building and a six-storey modern building, with the interior of both buildings offering an authentic Japanese-style atmosphere and experience for guests. Tomonoura was famously the fishing village which instead animator Hayao Mizayaki to create the award-winning film Ponyo, which was set in the town.
