Hotel Italiaken's history begins in 1874, when an Italian man named Pietro Miliore opened the first Western-style restaurant in Japan. It continued developing into "Niigata's Rokumeikan," a fathering place for people from the worlds of finance and culture. Now, after 100 years, it has been reborn as a hotel that retains the character of the past but also boasts modern facilities and serves as a place for local and international cultural communication.
