    Nestled deep in the heart of the Japanese Northern Alps, the Shin-Hodaka Onsen is a soothing oasis. Hotel Hodaka is situated a thousand meters above from sea level at the foot of Yari-Hotaka Mountain Range, and sits amid a magnificent nature which beauties of the four seasons are shown. Guests can savor Kyoto-style kaiseki full-course dinner prepared with freshly picked mountain ingredients or famous Hida beef. A 75-degree sulfur bath is supplied by an abundant source of hot spring water. Please relax at a large garden-style open-air bath from which the mountains of the Northern Alps are commanded.

    90 minutes on bus from JR Takayama Station bound for Shin Hodaka Onsen. Get off at last stop and 2 minutes walk. 80 minutes by taxi from JR Takayama Station.
