Hirugami onsen resort is situated in the south of Shinsyu in Nagano prefecture. It lies in a quiet valley surrounded by mountains. References to the springs can be found in old books written 250 years ago. However, the source of the water was lost for many years and it was only rediscovered during construction work in 1973. The soft alkali waters attract many visitors every year. Hirugami Grand Hotel Tenshin has renovated in July 2004. Please enjoy and relax in a large tenbo-buro (a bath offering a good view). The building is designed for wheelchair access.
